Brooklyn and head coach Steve Nash have agreed to part ways, according to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski.


Nash`s assistant Jacque Vaughn will reportedly be the acting head coach. It is expected that the Nets will soon try to negotiate with Ime Udoka, Quinn Snyder or other well-known specialists.


Brooklyn started the new season with a 2-5 record.


In the summer, Nets leader Kevin Durant demanded that club owner Joseph Tsai fire Steve Nash as head coach.


Nash took over Brooklyn in 2020. The former NBA superstar had no coaching experience, but the club prediction by 11livefootball counted on his close relationship with Kevin Durant from his Golden State days. As head coach of the Nets, Nash has 92 wins and 62 losses.
