Live football Helmut Marko: Red Bull have no financial need to sell Alfa Tauri team
Advisor to Red Bull Helmut Marko said that after the changes in the management of the company associated with the death of Dietrich Mateschitz, the sale of the Alfa Tauri team will not be considered.
Reports began to appear in the press that Porsche was interested in buying a stake in Alfa Tauri. And that Red Bull, as part of the restructuring of the racing program, can get rid of the second team in Formula 1.
According to Marco, these reports are not true. And that only more resources will be invested in Alpha Tauri, trying to bring the team up to the level of Red Bull.
Of course, (after Mateschitz`s death) a lot will change. De facto we were autonomous. But the Red Bull racing team is the group`s most powerful and effective marketing tool. We were autonomous-we were the only ones who didn`t have to follow company rules. This autonomy existed with the consent of Mateschitz. However, information has already appeared that the new management wants to continue developing the program, on the same terms.
The Red Bull racing company is doing well. There is no financial need to sell Alfa Tauri from Red Bull. Rather, on the contrary, there is a need to help the team reach a higher level, " Marco said.
