San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams did not report to the team`s training camp.


49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said the player`s absence was related to contract negotiations.


Williams, 36, has three years remaining on his current contract, but his last guaranteed payments are due in 2022. San Francisco can release a player at any time without serious financial consequences.
